Women Victims of Rape According to Islam ~ Hi all readers! In the previous article, I explained about three important things about adultery (zina). I hope you have read it and understood it because the explanation in the article is related to the discussion in this article. Yup! I’m sure you already know what rape is. In general, rape is sexual relations committed by men and women by force. In this case, in general, the victims were women, although there were also men who were victims. The logical question is, is rape the same as adultery? As Muslims, of course, we must know that. That’s why I wrote this article. So, you have to read it to the end!
If we look at the case briefly, it will appear as if there is a relationship between rape and adultery (zina). But, when viewed in more detail, it will be clear that the difference is the feeling of the people involved in the action. If in adultery (zina) both parties involved in the action are equally willing, whereas in rape there is one party that is forced to do that. This is the difference between the two things which is at the same time the answer to the question above. But the other question that we must know the answer to is, are victims of rape as sinful as those who commit adultery?
Before I explain the answer to the question above, I want to quote one verse of the Quran and one hadith which I think is very related to the theme of this article. Pay attention!
Whoever disbelieves in Allah after his belief… except for one who is forced [to renounce his religion] while his heart is secure in faith. But those who [willingly] open their breasts to disbelief, upon them is wrath from Allah, and for them is a great punishment. (An-Nahl ; 106).
The messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, “Mistakes made by accident, forgetfulness, and forced to be eliminated (eliminated) from my people.”
All Readers! If we look at the verses of the Quran and the hadith above, then we already understand, that someone who is a victim of rape is not sinful. Why is that? Of course, the answer is because the person is forced to do that. In fact, that person will get merit from Allah because of his patience.
There is one more important thing I want to say in relation to our discussion in this article, that someone who is a victim of rape must try to fight it with all his strength and deny it with a very strong denial. This is the essence of the error or sin of being forced to be erased.
All Readers! That is a brief explanation of women victims of rape according to Islam. Do you understand? If you want to ask, please ask!
I think that’s enough for this article. May be useful. Amen!
See you in the next article!
