What is the Difference Between Jama Taqdeem and Jama Takheer ~ Hi readers! In previous articles, I have explained what Jama Taqdeem is and what Jama Takheer is. Jama Taqdeem (جَمْعُ التَّقْدِيْمِ) and Jama Takheer (جَمْعُ التَّأْخِيْرِ) are one of the ways to perform the obligatory prayers. I hope you have read these two articles and understand them.

In this article I will explain the three differences between Jama Taqdeem (جَمْعُ التَّقْدِيْمِ) and Jama Takheer (جَمْعُ التَّأْخِيْرِ). Many Muslims don’t know that. The three differences I mean are as follows;

  1. The difference in literal meaning between Jama Taqdeem and Jama Takheer.
  2. Time difference between Jama Taqdeem and Jama Takheer.
  3. The difference in Niyyah between Jama Taqdeem and Jama Takheer.

I have already explained a lot about the literal meanings of Jama Taqdeem (جَمْعُ التَّقْدِيْمِ) and Jama Takheer (جَمْعُ التَّأْخِيْرِ). I will not repeat that explanation again in this article. To remind you, I will now only summarize the different literal meanings of the two terms.

Jama Taqdeem (جَمْعُ التَّقْدِيْمِ) is to combine several things together and do them at the beginning of time. It is for this reason that what is meant by Jama Taqdeem prayer is to perform the two obligatory prayers at the time of the first prayer.

As for what Jama Takheer (جَمْعُ التَّأْخِيْرِ) means is to combine several things into one and do it at the end of time. It is for this reason that Jama Takheer prayer means performing two obligatory prayers at the time of the second prayer.

Time difference between Jama Taqdeem and Jama Takheer

The time difference between Jama Taqdeem (جَمْعُ التَّقْدِيْمِ) and Jama Takheer (جَمْعُ التَّأْخِيْرِ) is the time of doing it. That Jama Taqdeem is carried out at the beginning of time and Jama Takheer is carried out at the end of time.

For example, if you want to perform the Jama Taqdeem prayer (جَمْعُ التَّقْدِيْم yang) which combines Maghrib prayer and Isha prayer, then you must do it during Maghrib prayer. But if you want to do the Jama Takheer prayer (جَمْعُ التَّأْخِيْرِ) which combines the Dhuhr prayer and the Asr prayer, then you have to do it during the Asr prayer.

The time difference between performing Jama Taqdeem prayer (جَمْعُ التَّقْدِيْمِ) and Jama Takheer prayer (جَمْعُ التَّأْخِيْرِ) is one of the important things that Muslims who want to do it should know, because if they choose the wrong time to do it, then their prayer is invalid.
