Specifically, the explanation of the rights of the dead body before the funeral prayer in Islam is as follows:

Bathing the Dead Body

The first right of a deceased person in Islam that Muslims have to give is to bathe them. The goal is to purify them before they are buried.

We can find an explanation of the first rights of the dead body in the hadith below:

From Ummu Athiyyah radliyallahu anha, she said, “The Prophet (Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam met us while we were bathing his daughter. He then said, “Wash her up to three times, or five times, or more than that if you think that is good, by using water and ziziphus spina christi leaves. Mix the water with camphor leaves in the last wash, or something that comes from camphor trees. “When we finished bathing him, we told him. He then gave us his sarong and said, “Put it on her body directly.” The hadith was narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
