The first important thing about the virtues of wudu in pregnancy which I will explain now is “should a pregnant woman perform wudu?”. Wudu is one of the important discussions in Islamic law. In some cases, wudu is obligatory for Muslims (in the context of this discussion: a pregnant Muslim woman). But in some other conditions, wudu is a sunnah or recommendation. That is the Islamic law regarding wudu.

Wudu will become obligatory for Muslims if they have a minor hadas (الحَدَثُ الأَصْغَرُ) and will perform acts of worship that require them to have wudu or be in a holy condition while doing it, such as praying, touching the Quran, Tawaf, and so on. If they do not perform wudu, they are not allowed to perform these acts of worship.

On the other hand, wudu will be a recommendation or sunnah for Muslims if they have minor hadas (الحَدَثُ الأَصْغَرُ) and want to remain in a holy condition or have wudu. That’s all because wudu is the most important way to get rid of minor hadas (another method is Tayammum).
