Trading In Mosque

Guidelines Islamic Shariah: Trading in mosque ~ Hi all readers! In the previous article I explained about the law of music and singing in the mosque. We already know about some important things related to the theme. In this article I will explain about the law of trading in a mosque.

As we have seen, trading is one of the jobs carried out by many people. That is considered as one way to make money quickly. The Prophet Muhammad did it too. But the problem is, can we trade in the mosque?

As always, before I answer the question above, I will quote the two hadith that are specifically related to our discussion. The hadith that I mean is as follows;

From Abu Hurairah radliyallaahu anhu, he said, “The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam said, “Whoever hears someone searches for lost items in the mosque, then let him say, “May Allah not return it to you. Indeed, mosques are not built for this purpose. “The hadith is narrated by Muslim.

From Abu Hurairah radliyallaahu anhu, that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam said, “If you see a person who sells and buys in a mosque, then tell him,” May Allah not benefit your trade.” The hadith is narrated by an- Nasa’i and at-Tirmidzi.

There are several important things related to the two hadith above that we need to know;

One; The first hadith explains the prohibition of searching for lost items in the mosque. Usually, there are people who lose sandals, shoes, or even money in the mosque. Well, if we experience something like that, then we better not look for it. We are willing to lose our items in the mosque.

Two; The second hadith explains that trade should not be carried out in the mosque.

Three; The two hadiths explain, that in fact the main purpose of the construction of a mosque is for worship. That’s why it should not be used for world needs, such as trade and so on.

All readers! If we look at the two hadith and the brief explanation above, then of course we already know the answer to the question above. The answer is, we cannot trade in the mosque. The reason is as I mentioned in the third point.

That is a brief explanation of trading in mosque. Do you understand? If you have questions, please ask!

I think that is enough for this article. May be useful! Amen!
