It was narrated from Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu. He said, “Prophet Muhammad, ‘What is the best prayer after the Maktubah prayer (obligatory prayer) and what fast is the best after fasting in the month of Ramadan? He replied, “The most important prayer after the obligatory prayers is the midnight prayer and the most important fast after fasting in Ramadan is fasting in the month of Allah (Muharram).” This hadith was narrated by Muslim.

It was narrated from Abu Umamah al-Bahili radliyallahu anhu, from the Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, he said, “Do Qiyamyul Lail (by doing Tahajud prayer) continuously, because it is the habit of the pious people before you. Qiyamul Lail (by doing Tahajjud prayer) is your worship to your Lord, removing various faults and preventing sins.” This hadith was narrated by al-Hakim.
قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ غُرْفَةً يُرَى ظَاهِرُهَا مِنْ بَاطِنِهَا، وَبَاطِنُهَا مِنْ ظَاهِرِهَا، فَقَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيُّ: لِمَنْ هِيَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: لِمَنْ أَلَانَ الْكَلَامَ، وَأَطْعَمَ الطَّعَامَ، وَبَاتَ لِلَّهِ قَائِماً وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ
Allah’s Messenger (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, “Verily in Paradise there is a very high house whose outside can be seen from the inside and the inside can be seen from the outside.” Abu Musa al-Ash’ari then asked, “For whom is it, O Messenger of Allah?”. He replied, “For people who are kind in speech, feed others, and pray at night when people are sleeping.”
عَنْ سَهْلٍ بْنِ سَعْدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : جَاءَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، عِشْ مَا شِئْتَ فَإِنَّكَ مَيِّتٌ ، وَأَحْبِبْ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ فَإِنَّكَ مَفَارِقُهُ ، وَاعْمَلْ مَا شِئْتَ فَإِنَّكَ مَجْزِيٌّ بِهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ شَرَفُ الْمُؤْمِنِ قِيَامُ اللَّيْلِ وَعِزُّهُ اسْتِغْنَاؤُهُ عَنِ النَّاسِ
From Sahal bin Sa’ad radliyallahu anhu, he said, “Jibril alaihi as-Salaam came to the Prophet (Muhammad) sallallahu alaiahi wa sallam. Jibril then said, “O Muhammad, live as you please because in fact you will die. Love the person you love because you will actually leave him. Do whatever you want because indeed you will get a reward.” Then Gabriel said, “O Muhammad, the glory of a believer is praying at night and his strength is to refrain from asking people.”
