Solution for People Who Cannot Read Quran in Prayer (Salat) ~ Hi all readers! In this article I will explain about a solution for people who cannot read the Quran in prayer. In a number of previous articles, I have explained, that reading Surat al-Fatihah and the verses of the Qur’an is an obligation in prayer. Without it, the prayer will be broken. But the problem is, not all Muslims can do that, especially those who have just converted to Islam. On the other hand, the person must pray five times a day. The question is, what should the person do?
As always, before I answer the question above, I will quote one hadith that is specifically related to our present discussion. Pay attention!
From Abdullah bin Abi Aufa radliyallaahu anhu, he said,” Someone came to the Prophet (Muhammad) sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam. He then said, “Actually, I can’t memorize a single verse of the Quran. Teach me a reading that can replace it in prayer. “The Prophet Muhammad said,” Say; “Exalted be Allah, all praise be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, Allah is great, there is no power and strength except that of Allah Who is Supreme and Noble.” “He said,” O Messenger of Allah! This is for Allah. Then what is for me? “The Prophet Muhammad said,” Say; “O Allah, bless me, give me sustenance, give me health, and give me instructions.” When he stood up, he said like this with both hands. The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam then grasped his hands and said,” If this is the case, then the two hands are full of goodness. “The hadith is narrated by Ahmad, Abu Daud, and an-Nasa’i.
All readers! The hadith above explains the solution for people who cannot read the Quran in prayer. Actually, there are several reasons why one cannot read the Quran; prayer times are almost gone and because indeed he cannot read the Qur’an. If we experience such conditions or we know there are people who experience such conditions, then that is the solution for all of us.
This is the solution in the hadith;
Exalted be Allah, all praise be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, Allah is great, there is no power and strength except that of Allah Wwho is Supreme and Noble.
Actually, the sentences of the dhikr above are enough to be a solution. But we can also add it;
O Allah, bless me, give me sustenance, give me health, and give me instructions.
That is a brief explanation of solution for people who cannot read Quran in prayer (Salat). Do you understand? If you want to ask, please ask!
I think that is enough for this article. May be useful! Amen!
See you again in the next article!
