Sleeping Position That Break Ablution (Wudu) ~ Hi all readers! In the previous article, I said, that in this article I will explain about sleeping positions that can break ablution (wudu). Previously I also explained that there are many kinds of sleeping positions. But not all of these positions can break ablution (wudu).
As always, before I speak further on the sleeping position that break ablution (wudu), I will present one hadith of Prophet Muhammad below. Pay attention!
Hadith About Sleeping Position That Break Ablution (Wudu)
The hadith about the sleeping positions that can break ablution (wudu) that I mean is as follows:
Abu Daud narrated the hadith from Ibn Abbas radliyallahu anhuma, “That the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam bowed, slept, and yawned. Then he woke up and he prayed and he did not ablution. I then said to him, “You have prayed but you are not ablution, even though you have slept.” He then said, “Indeed, ablution must be carried out by people who have slept on their side.”
All readers! In the hadith explained, that one day the Prophet Muhammad slept in prostration. Many people are used to sleeping in this position. After waking up he immediately prayed without ablution beforehand. Ibn Abbas who saw that then asked him. He also explained, that it did not break ablution (wudu).
There are some things we need to know about the hadith above;
One; Whoever has seen something wrong then he must justify it even though it is very heavy.
Two; The person who is suspected of wrongdoing must explain what exactly he has done.
Three; Sleeping in a stomach position touching the bed can cancel ablution.
After we observe the brief explanation above, we can conclude, that the sleeping position that can break ablution (wudu) is the position when a person’s stomach touches the bed, such as sleeping on his side, supine, and so on. As for sleeping with the position when the stomach or anus is still stuck so that someone is not able to fart in that position, then such sleep cannot break ablution (wudu).
That’s a brief explanation about sleeping position that break ablution (wudu). Do you understand? The problem is simple and the explanation that I have conveyed is also clear. So, I hope you understand. But if you want to ask about some things related to this theme, please ask!
I think that is enough for this article. May be useful! Amen!
See you again in the next article!
