عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ إِذَ طَلَعَ عَلَيْنَا رَجُلٌ شَدِيْدُ بَيَاضِ الثِّيَابِ شَدِيْدُ سَوَادِ الشَّعْرِ ، لَا نَرَى عَلَيْهِ أَثَرَ السَّفَرِ وَلَا نَعْرِفُهُ ، حَتَّى جَلَسَ إِلَى رَسُوْلِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَسْنَدَ رُكْبَتَهُ إِلَى رُكْبَتِهِ وَوَضَعَ كَفَّيْهِ عَلَى فَخْذِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَخْبِرْنِيْ عَنِ الْإِسْلَامِ ، مَا الْإِسْلَامُ ؟ قَالَ : أَنْ تَشْهَدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إلَّا اللهَ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُوْلُ اللهِ وَتُقِيْمَ الصَّلَاةِ وُتُؤْتِيَ الزَّكَاةَ وَتَصُوْمَ رَمَضَانَ وَتَحُجَّ الْبَيْتَ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيْلًا. قَالَ : صَدَقْتَ
From Umar bin Khattab radliyallahu anhu. He said, “While we were sitting with Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alaihi wa sallam someday, all of a sudden a male who was wearing very white clothes and very black hair came to us. We didn’t see the darkness beneath him, until he attracted close to to the Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. He after that leaned his knees on his (Prophet Muhammad’s) knees and put his 2 practical his (Prophet Muhammad) thighs. After that he said, “O Muhammad, tell me about Islam: what is Islam?” He (Prophet Muhammad) replied, “(Islam is) you bear witness that there’s no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, you perform prayers, you pay Zakat, you fast in Ramadan, and you perform Hajj if you’re able to do so.” (The hadith is long).
Friends! If we understand the hadith over, we can conclude that Islam in simple words is as complies with:
1: birth witness that there’s no god but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah’s Messenger.
2: perform the obligatory prayers 5 times a day (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha).
3: paying Zakat for Muslims that have the responsibility to pay Zakat.
4: fasting in the month of Ramadan.
5: doing Hajj for those Muslims who are able to do so.
Those are five important things that we can use as a standard to understand Islam in simple words. These 5 things are the five columns of Islam. We can find this description in the hadith listed below:
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : بُنِيَ الْإِسْلَامُ عَلَى خَمْسٍ : شَهَادَةِ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُوْلُ اللهِ , وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ , وَإِيْتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ , وَصَوْمِ رَمَضَانَ , وَحَجِّ الْبَيْتِ
From Abdullah bin Umar radliyallahu anhuma, he said, “The Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said, “Islam is improved 5 things; testament that there’s no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, carrying out prayers, paying zakat, fasting in Ramadan, and visiting Baitullah (carrying out Hajj).”

Is It Real That Islam Is a Excellent Faith for Us?

Generally, there are 2 main reasons that Islam is an excellent religious beliefs for us:
1: Islam guarantees joy in this globe and the hereafter for Muslims who practice Islamic teachings very well.
2: the credibility of both main resources of Islam is well maintained from time to time. Both main resources of Islam that I am referring to are the Quran and the hadiths. Therefore, the credibility of Muslims as a people who follow religious teachings that originated from paradise is very well maintained.
There is a lot discussion on these two main reasons. Sadly, I can’t explain everything in this article because we would certainly need a great deal of time and words.
So, in simple terms, if you ask me, “is it real that Islam is an excellent faith for us?”, the answer is “of course. Islam is an excellent faith for us.”
That’s a quick description of “is it real that Islam is a great faith for us?”. As Muslims, we must understand that.
Is Converting to Islam OK?
The 3rd important point about Simple Procedures to Convert to Islam in Kenya what I will discuss currently is “is converting to Islam OK?”. I want you to understand that currently so you understand very well that converting to Islam is OK, not simply a basic fad.

4: faith in the “books” of Allah.

Converting Islam is very easy. You can do that by saying the two Shahada sentences below:
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُوْلُ اللهِ
I affirm that there’s no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is Messenger of Allah.
After that, you must do all your obligations as a Muslim, especially the pillars of Islam:
1. Say the two Kalimah Shahada (this is the main requirement if you want to convert to Islam).
2. Perform the five obligatory prayers a day (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha).
3. Pay Zakat if you can afford it, especially Zakat al-Fitr.
4. Fasting in Ramadan.
5. Perform Hajj if you are able to do so.
