Because that is what I will explain in this article. As Muslims, we must understand that. That’s why I wrote this article. So, you should read it to the end!
Specifically, there are some important things about safar dua in Arabic which I will explain in this article. Some of the important things I mean are as follows:
- What Is Safar Dua?
- Is Safar Dua Important?
- Should We Say Dua Before Safar?
- Is Safar Dua Accepted?
- Safar dua in Arabic: 4 Duas for Safar in Arabic We Must Understand.
a. General Safar Dua in Arabic.
b. Safar Dua by Car and Bicycle in Arabic.
c. Safar Dua by Boat in Arabic.
d. Safar Dua by Plane in Arabic.
What Is Safar Dua?
The first important thing about safar dua in Arabic which I will explain now is “what is safar dua?”. I want you to understand that first before you read any further explanation in this article because that is the basic question in this discussion that should be well understood.
In simple terms, I want to explain that safar dua is sentences of supplication and dhikr to Allah that are said before safar. In general, these sentences and dhikr are requests that Allah always protect the safety of those who are going to travel and the people or property left behind during the trip.
Thus, the safar dua is a request to Allah that Allah always gives us safety while safar.
That’s a brief explanation of “what is safar dua?”. As Muslims, we must understand that.
Is Safar Dua Important?
The second important thing about safar dua in Arabic which I will explain now is “is safar dua important?”. I want you to understand that now because it is one of the important questions about safar dua that must be well understood.
Everyone wants safety for themselves, their families and their possessions while safar. But unfortunately, this safety cannot be obtained easily. In general, before a person survives a trip, he does a lot of things to anticipate bad things that might happen during the trip. One of them is saying safar dua.
Islam strongly encourages Muslims to say a dua if they want something. Likewise, safety while safar. Allah says:
And your Lord says, “Call upon Me; I will respond to you.” Indeed, those who disdain My worship will enter Hell [rendered] contemptible. (Ghafir : 60).
Islamic teachings explain that prayer to Allah is one of the best acts of worship. We can find an explanation of that in the hadith below:
From Nukman bin Basyir radliyallahu anhuma, that the Prophet (Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, “Verily dua is worship.”
Now, if you ask me, “is safar dua important?”, the answer is “Yes, because praying to Allah for safar is one of the ways to get safety while safar.” I say that because all preparations to avoid bad things while safar will not be sufficient for safety during safar without dua to Allah.
That’s a brief explanation of “is safar dua important?”. As Muslims, we must understand that.
Should We Say Dua Before Safar?
The third important thing about safar dua in Arabic which I will explain now is “should we say dua before safar?”. I want you to understand that now so that you understand whether safar dua is important to say.
In the previous few paragraphs, I already explained that safar dua is important. The standart is that there is advice or sunnah on that. What this means is that Muslims are encouraged to say dua safar.
Now, if you ask me “should we say dua before safar?”, the answer is “no. We don’t have to say safar dua, but if we say that, then it’s better for us.” That’s the answer.
That’s a brief explanation of “should we say dua before safar?”. As Muslims, we must understand that.
Is Safar Dua Accepted?
The fourth important thing about safar dua in Arabic which I will explain now is “is safar dua accepted?”. I want you to understand that now so that you understand whether the safar dua is accepted or not.
Before I give you the answer to the question (is safar dua accepted?), I will quote two hadiths about praying to Allah. The two hadiths I am referring to are as follows:
From Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu, that the Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said, “Our Lord (Allah) the Most Holy and Exalted descends into the world’s sky every night, when the last third of the night remains. He said, “Whoever prays to Me, I will surely answer. Whoever asks of me, I will surely give. Whoever begs me for forgiveness, I will surely forgive him.”
There is no one who prays with a prayer except that Allah will grant what he asks for or turn him away from a similar evil, as long as he does not pray that contains a sin or severance of ties of kinship.
All readers! The two hadiths above explain that Allah answers the dua of someone who prays. He granted the request of someone who asked him. He forgives the sins of those who ask Him for forgiveness.
So, if you ask me, “is safar dua accepted?”, the answer is “Yes. If we pray to Allah earnestly and correctly.”
That’s a brief explanation of “is safar dua accepted?”. As Muslims, we must understand that.
