Why Should You Say Prayer to Allah in Arabic for Protection?
The first important thing about prayer to Allah in Arabic for protection that I will explain now is “why should you say prayer to Allah in Arabic for protection?”. I want you to understand that first because that is one of the basic questions in this discussion that must be well understood.
Everyone wants protection. In general, protection is one of the reasons a person feels safe. But unfortunately, protection can not be obtained easily. In general, before a person is protected, he has done several things to get protection.
Islam strongly encourages Muslims to say prayer to Allah if they want something. Similarly, if we need protection. Allah says:
And your Lord says, “Call upon Me; I will respond to you.” Indeed, those who disdain My worship will enter Hell [rendered] contemptible. (Gharfir : 60).
Islamic teachings explain that prayer to Allah is one of the best acts of worship. We can find an explanation of that in the hadith below:
From Nukman bin Basyir radliyallahu anhuma, that the Prophet (Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, “Verily prayer is worship.”
Now, if you ask me, “why should you say prayer to Allah in Arabic for protection?”, the answer is because praying to Allah is one way to get protection. I say this because seeking refuge without praying to Allah is not enough.
That’s a brief explanation of “why should you say prayer to Allah in Arabic for protection?”. As Muslims, we must understand that.
Is Prayer to Allah in Arabic for Protection Accepted?
The second important thing about prayer to Allah in Arabic for protection which I will explain now is “is prayer to Allah in Arabic for protection accepted?”. I want you to understand that now because it is one of the important questions about prayer to Allah for protection that must be well understood.
Before I give you the answer to the question (is prayer to Allah in Arabic for protection accepted?), I will quote two hadiths about praying to Allah. The two hadiths I am referring to are as follows:
There is no one who prays with a prayer except that Allah will grant what he asks for or turn him away from a similar evil, as long as he does not pray that contains a sin or severance of ties of kinship.
From Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu, that the Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said, “Our Lord (Allah) the Most Holy and Exalted descends into the world’s sky every night, when the last third of the night remains. He said, “Whoever prays to Me, I will surely answer. Whoever asks of me, I will surely give. Whoever begs me for forgiveness, I will surely forgive him.”
All readers! The two hadiths above explain that Allah grants the prayer of someone who prays at that time. He granted the request of someone who asked at that time. He forgives the sins of those who ask Him for forgiveness at that time.
So, if you ask me, “is prayer to Allah in Arabic for protection accepted?”, the answer is “Yes. If we pray to Allah earnestly and correctly.”
That is a brief explanation of “is prayer to Allah in Arabic for protection accepted?”. As Muslims, we must understand that.
