Prayer After Defecating and Urinating ~ Hi all readers! In some of the previous articles, I explained about ethics that we must pay attention to if we are going to enter the bathroom or when we are in it. There are many things that we have understood. Well, in this article I will explain the prayer that we should read if we have come out of the bathroom. Do you know what prayer is?
As always, before I speak further about prayer after defecating and urinating, I will quote the hadith that specifically relates to the topic of this article. Pay attention!
Hadith About Prayer After Defecating and Urinating
The hadith about prayer after defecating and urinating that I mean is as follows:
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ قَالَ : غُفْرَانَكَ . أَخْرَجَهُ الْخَمْسَةُ
From Aisha radliyallaahu anhaa, that if the Prophet (Muhammad) sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam finished defecating, then he prayed, “[I beg] Your forgiveness [O my Lord].” The hadith is narrated by five people Ahmad, Abu Daud, at-Tirmidhi, an-Nasai, Ibnu Majah).
All readers! If we reflect on the hadith above, then we understand, that even though the Prophet Muhammad was a lover of Allah Ta’ala, he continued to pray for forgiveness from Allah Taala. He prayed before he slept, before eating, after eating, after prayer, when praying, and so forth. Really this is a very valuable lesson that he has given us. He always does that even for problems that we often consider trivial; after coming out of the bathroom.
There are some things about the hadith above that we need to know;
One; We are encouraged to ask Allah Taala for forgiveness every time we finish defecating or urinating. The more specific prayer that was read by the Prophet Muhammad if he came out of the bathroom had been narrated by Anas. Anas said;
If the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam had come out of the bathroom, then he prayed, “Al-Hamdu lillaahi alladzi adzhaba ni anniy al-Adzaa wa ‘afaaniy (All praise be to Allah who has removed my illness and has healed me).”
Two; The above hadith explains the sincerity of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad in researching what was related to him, that when he came out of the bathroom.
That is a brief explanation of prayer after defecating and urinating. Hopefully we can practice his teachings. Amen!
I think that is enough for this article. May be useful! Amen!
