Hi all readers! In this article, I will explain prayer when we walk in grave. The prayer I mean here is the prayer we should read when we enter the grave area. Of course, this prayer is different from the prayer that is read next to the grave. As Muslims, we must know that.
As usual, before I explain about prayer when we walk in the grave, I will first quote two hadiths that are specifically related to our discussion. The two hadiths I mean are as follows;
From Sulaiman bin Buraidah, from his father, radliyallahu ‘anhuma. He (his father) said, “The Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam had taught them, if they were going to the grave pilgrimage, so that they would say,” May peace and blessings always be upon you, O grave dwellers, from the group of believers. and Muslims. If Allah wills, then we will follow you completely. We ask the salvation from Allah for us and for you. “The hadith is narrated by Muslim.
From Ibn Abbas radliyallallahu ‘anhuma, he said, “The Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) once passed through several graves in Medina. He then went to them and said, “May peace and blessings be upon you, O grave dwellers! May Allah forgive us and you. You have overtaken us and we will overtake you.” The hadith is narrated by at-Tirmidzi.
There are several important things about the two hadiths above that we need to know;
- The two hadiths above explain the recommendation of the grave pilgrimage and reading good prayer for residents of grave.
- The two hadiths above explain the suggestion of praying for asking forgiveness for those who are still alive and those who have died.
- The two hadiths above explain the attention of the Prophet Muhammad to his friends; He taught them how to make a grave pilgrimage that is justified by Islam.
- The second hadith explains that truly people who have passed away know if there are people who pass them and people who pray for them.
All Readers! That is a brief explanation of the best prayer when we walk in grave. Do you understand? If you want to ask, please ask!
I think that’s enough for this article. May be useful! Amen!
