Tricks for Nothing to Pass in front of People Praying (Salat) ~ Hi all readers! In the previous article, I explained, that we should not walk in front of people who are praying because the danger that we will get is very large. In this article, I will explain what we have to do so that no one passes in front of us and what we have to do if someone passes in front of us when we are praying.

As always, before I explain about tricks for nothing to pass in front of people praying (salat), I will quote two hadith that are specifically related to our discussion. Pay attention!

Hadith About Tricks for Nothing to Pass in front of People Who Is Praying (Salat)

The hadith about tricks for nothing to pass in front of people praying (salat) that I mean is as follows:

From Sabarah bin Ma’bad al-Juhani radliyallaahu ‘anhu, he said, “Allah’s Messenger sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam said,” Let one of you make a boundary even with an arrow when he is praying. “The hadith is narrated by al-Hakim.

From Abu Sa’id al-Khudri radliyallaahu anhu, he said,” Allah’s Messenger sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam said, “If one of you prayed, let him make a boundary from humans. If someone wants to pass in front of him, then he should forbid the person. If the person does not want to, then let him fight it, because that person is a devil.” The hadith is narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim.

There are some important things related to the hadith above that we need to know;

One; The above hadith above explain, that we are encouraged to make a mark if we want to pray. Legal experts disagree about the length of the boundary mark and its width. Malik said, the minimum area is like the width of a spear, while the minimum length is along the arm. If the size is less than that, then the recommendation does not apply. An-Nawawi, one of the followers of the Syafi’iyyah sect, argues that the minimum length is like the length of a grass that can be used for binding, and there is no definite size for a minimum width. Abu Hanifah said, that the minimum length is one arm and its width is like one finger. Ahmad said, just use a spear.

Two; The above hadith explain, that people who pass in front of people who are praying must be fought. But we must understand the meaning and context of the command very well. For me, the order of war in the hadith does not need to be done because it will be contrary to the laws in force in the local country. For me, the order is a sign that we must really do something so that no one passes in front of us when we pray and that people pass in front of people who are praying will get a huge danger.
