Guide to Line Up in Prayer (Making Shaf) ~ Hi all readers! In this article, I will explain how to line up in prayer (making shaf). Line up is one of the things we have to do if we are going to do jamaah prayer. There are several rules that we must obey so that the ranks become good.

As always, before I explain the guide to line up in prayer (Making Shaf) further, I will quote a hadith that is specifically related to our discussion. The hadith that I mean is as follows;

Hadith About Guide to Line Up in Prayer (Making Shaf)

The hadits about guide to line up in prayer (Making Shaf) that I mean is as follows:

عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ؛ رُصُّوْا صُفُوْفَكُمْ وَقَارِبُوْا بَيْنَهَا وَحَاذُوْا بِالْأَعْنَاقِ . رَوَاهُ أَبُوْ دَاوُدَ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ

From Anas radliyallaahu anhu, from the Prophet (Muhammad) sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam, he said, “Stick your ranks so that there is no gap between you! Mutually close between your rows, and align yourself if your necks are the same!” The hadith is narrated by Abu Daud and an-Nasa’i.

There are some important things related to the hadith above that we need to know;

One; The hadith explains, that we must equate lines in prayer and we must bloom so that there is no gap.

Two; If we do not equate the line in prayer and if we do not approach each other when praying for the congregation, then it will be the cause of the entry of Satan among those who are praying to disturb them.
