Understanding Perfecting Line in Prayer (Salat) ~ Hi all readers! In this article, I will explain the prompts perfecting line in prayer. This discussion is related to congregational prayer. As we know that usually in congregational prayer there are many makmum that form many lines. There is the first line, the second row, and so on. There are several important things about how to perfect the line in prayer, especially if a makmum in the back row does not know the movement of the Imam he must follow.
As always, before I explain the hadith about perfecting line in prayer (Salat) further, I will quote a hadith that is specifically related to our discussion. The hadith that I mean is as follows;

The hadith about perfecting line in prayer (Salat) that I mean is as follows:
عَنْ أَبِيْ سَعِيْدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُوْلَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى فِيْ أَصْحَابِهِ تَأَخُّرًا ، فَقَالَ ؛ تَقَدَّمُوْا فَأَتِمُّوْا بِيْ وَلْيَأْتِمَّ بِكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ . رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ
From Abu Sa’id al-Khudri radliyallaahu ‘anhu, that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam had seen some of his friends who were late to approach him in prayer. He then said, “Go ahead and follow me. People who come after you have to follow you. “The hadith is narrated by Muslim.
There are several important things related to the hadith above that we must know;
One; The hadith explains that the suggestion occupies the first row in prayer and that getting away from the first row is not recommended.
Two; Makmum who does not see imam’s movement or does not hear imam’s reading may follow other makmum movements in front of him.
Three; The hadith explains, that the makmum is recommended to pay attention to the line in prayer. He was advised to order the people to perfect the line in prayer.
