Specifically, there are three important things about “janabah meaning” which I will explain in this article. The three important things I mean are as follows:

Janabah Meaning in Arabic

The first important thing about “janabah meaning” what I will explain now is janabah meaning in Arabic. I want you to understand that first before you read any further explanation in this article.

One important thing you have to understand is that “janabah” is an Arabic word. If you want to write it, then you can write it as follows: جَنَابَةٌ . In Arabic, the word "janabah" has three meanings. The three meanings I mean are as follows:

Shit

The first meaning of “janabah” is filth. What is meant by dirt is something dirty. The explanation for that is very simple. I won't explain more about that here.

A condition of a person who has released sperm or has had sex

The second meaning of "janabah" is a condition of a person whose sperm has come out, such as because of a wet dream, and or has had sex. The explanation for that is very simple. I won't explain more about that here.

Najasah

The third meaning of “janabah” is Najasah (نَجَاسَةٌ). Najasah is a condition that requires a person to purify himself or purify something by washing it with water, ablution, or washing it up to seven times and one of them is by wiping off dust.

All readers! Those are the three meanings of janabah in Arabic. That's very important. As Muslims, we must understand that.

Janabah Meaning in Islamic Law

The second important thing about “janabah meaning?” what I will explain here is janabah meaning in Islamic law. As Muslims, we must understand that because there is a difference between janabah meaning in Arabic and janabah meaning in Islamic law.

In the discussion above I have explained that the word "janabah" has three meanings. The second meaning is janabah meaning in Islamic law. So, in Islamic law, janabah is a condition of a person who has released sperm or has had sex. This condition is called big hadas. Under these conditions, Muslims are not allowed to perform certain rituals in Islam that require them to be in a holy condition when performing them, such as praying, holding the Quran, Tawaf, and so on.

Janabah can only be done by taking a janabah bath. I've explained a lot about it in previous articles. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend you read it.

In Islamic legal literacy, there are several hadiths that specifically explain janabah. Some of the hadiths I mean are as follows:

From Aisha radliallahu anha, she said, "If the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam bathes from the janaba, then he begins by washing his hands, then he takes precedence to wash his right hand from the left body then he washed his anus. Then he graduated. Then he took water and put his fingers into the base of the hair. Then he poured three hands of water three times. Then he drained water over all his bodies. Then he washed his hands." The hadith was narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim.

From Abu Hurairah radliyallahu anhu, he said, "Allah's Messenger sallallahu alaihi wa sallam has said, "Indeed, under every hair there is a janabah. Wash your hair and clean the skin!" The hadith is narrated by Abu Daud and at-Tirmidhi.

عَنْ عَلِيٍّ بْنِ أَبِيْ طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَنْ تَرَكَ مَوْضِعَ شَعْرَةٍ مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ فُعِلَ بِهَا كَذَا وَكَذَا فِيْ النَّارِ

From Ali bin Abi Talib radliyallahu anhu, "The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam has said, "Whoever has left the place of hair from janabah, then he will be treated like this and like this in Hell."

All readers! That is a brief explanation of "janabah meaning in Islamic law". That's very important. As Muslims, we must understand that.

The Effect of Janabah on Muslims

The third important point about “janabah meaning” which I will explain now is “the effect of janabah on Muslims”. In the previous explanation I have explained that janabah is one of the things that causes Muslims to have major hadas. So, we can understand the influence of janabah on Muslims if we can understand the influence of major hadas on them.

In Islam, if the Muslims have a major hadas, then they are not allowed to perform some rituals that require them to be in a holy condition as I have explained earlier. Some of these rituals are obligatory rituals, such as Fajr prayer, Dhuhr, Asr, Magrib, Isha, Tawaf (in Hajj). Some of the other rituals are sunnah rituals, such as holding the Quran or reading the Quran.

What it means is that if Muslims have major hadas or janabah or are in a state of junub, then they are not allowed to perform these rituals if they have not cleansed themselves from major hadas. That is the influence of janabah on Muslims.

That is a brief explanation of "the effect of janabah on Muslims". As Muslims, we must understand that.

That's a brief explanation of three important things about "janabah meaning" that you must understand. Do you understand? If you want to ask, please ask!

I think that's enough for this article. May be useful. Amen.

See you again in the next article!
