Islam’s Prohibitions that Don’t Apply to Prophet Muhammad

Islamic Rule Center: Islam’s Prohibitions that Don’t Apply to Prophet Muhammad ~ Hi all readers! In some of the previous articles I explained about the prohibition on performing prayer at some times; after Asr until sunset, after Fajr prayer until the sun rises, and when the sun is right above the head. Well, in this article I will explain the occurrence of steps, when there is someone who performs prayers whose status is recommended (sunah prayer) at one of the forbidden times.

As always, before I speak more, I will quote the hadith which is specifically related to this theme. The hadith that I mean is as follows;

From Umm Salamah radliyallaahu Ta’ala ha anhaa, she said, “Allah‘s Messenger sallallaahu alahi wa sallam had prayed Asr then he entered my house. He then prayed two rak’ahs. I then asked him. He then said, “I have been busy so that I cannot perform two rak’ah sunah prayers after the dhur prayer. I then do it now.” I then said, “Can we replace it if we have missed it?” He said, “No.” The hadith was narrated by Ahmad.

Optionality in Islam

All readers! You have to know, that there are many things that are prohibited by many people but can only be done by the Prophet Muhammad, such as marrying nine women, he is obliged to do the evening prayer, he is obliged to perform the sunah prayers that he once did, and he is obliged to pray another time if he doesn’t do it normally.

In the hadith explained, that usually the Prophet Muhammad performed sunah prayers after the Dhuhr prayer. One day he was too busy so he could not do the sunah prayer as usual. That’s why he performed the prayer after the Asr prayer instead. Thus, the prohibition on praying at times that I have explained does not apply to him.

There are some important things about the hadith above that we need to know;

One; The above hadith explains about the prohibition on changing the sunah prayer after the Asr prayer. The Prophet Muhammad did that because it included things specifically permitted for him.

Two; Whoever sees a mistake made by a big person or a small person, he must clarify it.

Three; The person who is asked about something big, then he must answer it in a good way.

All readers! That is a brief explanation of Islam’s prohibitions that don’t apply to Prophet Muhammad. If you have questions, please ask!

I think that is enough for this article. May be useful! Amen!

See you again in the next article!
