The fourth important thing about “is it sunnah to fast every Monday and Thursday?” what I will explain now is “why is fasting every Monday and Thursday so important?”. I want you to understand that now so that you understand the urgency of sunnah fasting every Monday and Thursday.

Before I give you the answer to that question, I will quote some hadiths that are specifically related to it. Some of the hadiths I mean are as follows:

Verily, the deeds of the servants are delivered on Monday and Thursday.

The deeds will be delivered every Thursday and Monday. So, I want my deeds to be handed over when I fast.

Verily the gates of heaven are opened on Monday and Thursday. All sins of the servant who does not associate with Allah with anything will be forgiven, except for those who have hatred and quarrels with and with their brothers.

The Prophet was asked about fasting on Monday, he replied: That day I was born and the revelation was revealed to me.

All readers! If we understand some of the hadiths above, we can conclude that fasting every Monday and Thursday is very important for several reasons as follows:

  1. Because fasting every Monday and Thursday is sunnah.

  4. Because Prophet Muhammad was born, became the Messenger of Allah, and received revelation on Monday.
