Important Things About Jamaah Prayer ~ Hi all readers! In this article I will explain some important things that we must know about jamaah prayer. It is true, that there are many benefits that we will get if we perform jamaah prayer. But there are actually some things we must do, which we can do, and which we should not do in jamaah prayer.
As usual, before I explain this theme further, I will quote some of the hadith that are specifically related to this discussion. Pay attention!
From Jabir bin Abdullah, Allah be upon him, he said, “Mua’dz and some of his companions prayed. He extended the reading in prayer. The Prophet (Muhammad) sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam then said, “Do you want to be the one who makes others run away from their religion, O Mu’adz. If you become imam for people, then read الشمس وضحاها, سبّح اسم ربك الأعلى, اقرأ باسم ربك, and والليل إذا يغشى .” This hadith is narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
From Abu Hurairah radliyallaahu ‘anhu, that the Prophet (Muhammad) sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said, “If one of the kaliam leads the people to pray, then let him lighten up. In fact, among them there are small children, elderly people, sick people, and people who have needs. If he is praying alone, then he may pray as he wishes.” The hadith is narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
There are some important things related to the hadith above that we need to know;
One; The first hadith explains, that punishment may be carried out only by speech.
Two; The first hadith explains, that we must prevent something that can divide unity.
Three; The first and second hadiths explain, that imam must pay attention to the condition of the congregation in the jamaah prayer.
Four; The first and second hadiths explain, that worldly needs can be a reason that allows a person to pray quickly.
Five; The hadith explains, that we still have to perfect prayer even though we do it quickly.
Six; The hadith explains, that makmum may leave jamaah prayer if there is a reason that is justified by Islam.
That is a brief explanation of the theme of this article. Do you understand? If you want to ask, please ask!
I think that is enough for this article. May be useful! Amen!
See you again in the next article!
