The first important thing about importance of Rajab month in Islam which I will explain now is “what is the importance of Rajab month in Islam?”. I want you to understand that because it is one of the important questions in this discussion that must be well understood.

In general, there are several importance of month of Rajab in Islam. Some of the virtues I mean are as follows:

One: the Rajab month is one of the glorified months in Islam (al-Asyhur al-Hurum).

Two: the Rajab month is one of the glorified months of the ancient Arabs (al-Asyhur al-Hurum).

Three: Muslims are encouraged to fast in the months glorified in Islam (al-Asyhur al-Hurum). Rajab is one of the glorified months.

Four: the ancient Arabs, including the Muslims, did not wage war in the glorified months (except for self-defense). Rajab is one of the glorified months (al-Asyhur al-Hurum). We can understand that if we read surah at-Taubah, verses 5 and 36, as I have quoted in the previous few paragraphs.
