Solar Eclipse in Islam

The second important point about “how to pray solar eclipse?” what I will explain here is the solar eclipse prayer in Islam. I want you to understand that so you can understand the basic argument for the solar eclipse prayer.

In general, we can find an explanation of the solar eclipse prayer in the hadith below:

From al-Mughirah bin Syu’bah radliyallahu anhu, he said, “There was a solar eclipse during the time of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam on the day of Ibrahim’s death. People then said, “There has been a solar eclipse because of the death of Ibrahim.” The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “Verily the sun and moon are two signs of the signs of Allah’s greatness. Both of them did not experience an eclipse because of someone’s death and not because of one’s life. If you see both, then pray to Allah and pray until they become clear. “The hadith is narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim.

There are several important things related to the hadith above that we need to know;

One: The hadith explains the recommendation to pray because of a solar eclipse when there is a solar eclipse.

Two: The hadith explains that the assumption that a solar eclipse occurs because of someone’s death or because of a major phenomenon is a wrong assumption.

Three: The hadith explains that the sun is a creature that Allah has created. That’s why we shouldn’t worship the sun.

Four: The hadith explains that Muslims should seek protection from Allah when they are afraid of something.

That is the explanation of the solar eclipse prayer in Islam that we must understand.
