- How to Ask Allah’s Forgiveness for Zina?
Allah’s Forgiveness for Zina in Islam
The first important thing about “how to ask forgiveness from Allah for Zina?” what I will explain now is “Allah’s forgiveness for Zina in Islam”. I want you to understand that before you read more explanations about forgiveness for Zina in this article so that you understand that Allah will forgive Zina if the person who has done it repents.
One important thing I want to say before I explain “Allah’s forgiveness for Zina in Islam”, that Zina is one of the major sins that will be forgiven if someone who has done it repents. Zina is not a shirk.
We can find explanations that Allah will forgive all sins, including Zina, except shirk in some Quran and hadith.
Quran About Allah’s Forgiveness for Zina
As for the Quran about Allah’s Forgiveness for Zina, what I mean is as follows:
Surely Allah does not forgive that anything should be associated with Him, and He forgives what is besides this to whom He pleases; and whoever associates anything with Allah, he indeed strays off into a remote error.
Know that Allah is severe in requiting (evil) and that Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Then hasten on from the Place from which the people hasten on and ask the forgiveness of Allah; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Say: O my servants! who have acted extravagantly against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah; surely Allah forgives the faults altogether; surely, He is the Forgiving the Merciful.
Hadith About Allah’s Forgiveness for Zina
As for the hadith about Allah’s forgiveness for Zina, what I mean is as follows:
Ahmad and al-Hakim reported, “Satan said,” For the sake of Your glory, I will always plunge Your servants into sin as long as their souls are still in their bodies. ” Allah Azza wa Jalla said, “For the sake of My glory and My majesty, I will always forgive them as long as they ask forgiveness from Me (reading Istighfar).”
At-Tirmidhi narrated from Anas, from the Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. He said, “Allah Taala said; O son of Adam, if your sins have reached the side of the sky then you ask for my forgiveness (reading Istighfar), then I will forgive you.”
That is a brief explanation of “Allah’s forgiveness for Zina in Islam”. As Muslims, we must understand that.
Allah’s Forgiveness for Zina: Why Is It So Important?
The second important thing about “how to ask forgiveness from Allah for Zina?” what I will explain now is “why is Allah’s forgiveness for Zina so important?”. I want you to understand that so that you will be more convinced that Zina is one of the biggest sins and people who have done it really need Allah’s forgiveness.
We can find an explanation that Allah’s forgiveness for Zina is very important in the Quran and hadith below:
Quran About the Fatal Consequences of Zina
The Quran regarding the fatal consequences of Zina is as follows:
Women who commit Zina and men who commit Zina, then beat each one of them with a hundred strokes. And do not have mercy on both of them in carrying out (the provisions) of Allah’s religion, that is, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let (in carrying out) their punishment be witnessed by a group of believers.
And people who do not worship other gods with Allah and do not kill a soul that is forbidden by Allah (kill him) except with the right (reason), and does not commit Zina, whoever does this, surely, he will get (retribution) of sin (his). (ie) the punishment will be multiplied for him on the Day of Resurrection and he will be eternal in that punishment, in a state of humiliation, except those who repent, believe, and do righteous deeds; then it is their evil that Allah replaced with good. And it is Allah Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.
And do not approach Zina. Indeed, it is a very heinous act and a bad way. (Al-Isra 17:32).
Hadith About the Fatal Consequences of Zina
The hadith about the fatal consequences of Zina is as follows:
If a person commits Zina, then his faith decreases (the light of his faith is lost) as if he is being covered by a cloud (above his head). If he is free from adultery, then that faith will return to him.
That is a brief explanation that Allah’s forgiveness for Zina is very important. As Muslims, we must understand that.
