How to Answer Greetings (Salaam) When Someone Is Praying (Salat)?

Islamic Law Studies: How to Answer Greetings (Salaam) When Someone Is Praying (Salat)? ~ Hi all readers! There are two articles in several previous discussions that explain how to signal when we are praying. The signal is intended to tell someone that we are praying or to allow him to enter the house. In this article I will explain how to answer greetings sent by someone to us when we are praying.

As always, before I explain this theme further, I will quote a hadith that is specifically related to this theme. The hadith that I mean is as follows;

From Ibn Umar radliyallaahu anhumaa, he said, “I once asked Bilal, how did you see the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam answer them when they said the greeting to him, even though he was praying?” He (Bilal) said, “He say like this and he spreads the palm of his hand.” The hadith is narrated by Abu Daud and at-Tirmidhi.
