How Prophet Muhammad Bathing Janabah? ~ Hi all readers! In some of the previous articles I explained the law of bathing because of janabah (due to sex and sperm discharge) – to save the next word I would call it “janabah bath“. Well, in this article I will explain the procedure. As an activity, of course, there are certain procedures that must be considered.
As always, before I speak further about how Prophet Muhammad bathing Janabah?, I will quote the hadith which is specifically related to our discussion. Pay attention!
Hadith About Janabah Bath of Prophet Muhammad
The hadith about Janabah Bath of Prophet Muhammad that I mean is as follows:
From Aisha radliallaahu anha, she said, “If the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bathes from the janabah, then he begins by washing his hands, then he takes precedence to wash his right hand from the left body then he washed his anus. Then he graduated. Then he took water and put his fingers into the base of the hair. Then he poured three hands of water three times. Then he drained water over all his bodies. Then he washed his hands.” The hadith was narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
If we understand the hadith above, then we know that in it there is a description of the method used by the Prophet Muhammad to janabah bath. What he did was as follows;
One; He washed his hands first.
Two; After that he put first to wash his right body from the left. There is no description of any body. But I found a statement, that what was meant was a body washed and rubbed on ablution. That is, what is meant by the body in the hadith above are ears, hands and feet.
Three; After that he performed ablution (wudu).
Four; Then he made sure that the water he used for bathing had reached the base of the hair. He did that by inserting his fingers into the base of the hair.
Five; Then he poured water on all of his body.
Six; Finally, he washed his feet.
All readers! All you need to know here is that we are not required to use the method the Prophet Muhammad did. I explained that with the intention, that the method was more important than the other ways. What is important is that the water used for bathing has reached all the skin of the body; all body skin must be washed away.
Now, do you understand? If you don’t understand, please ask!
I think that is enough for this article. May be useful! Amen!
