From Umar bin Kharijah radiyallahu anhu, he said, “The Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam once addressed us in Mina. He was on top of the animal that became his vehicle. The animal’s saliva dripped down my shoulder.” The hadith was narrated by Ahmad and at-Tirmidhi.
All readers! In the above hadith it is explained that the saliva of animals whose meat can be eaten is sacred. What is meant by animals whose meat can be eaten are sacred animals. The legal status of the saliva also includes the law of sweat. That is with a note that the fluid does not come from the stomach, it may come from the skin or mouth.
