Finding Water After Tayamum ~ Hi all readers! In this article, I will explain a case in the view of Islam that we might experience. For example, like this, “One day we did not find water for ablution. We then do Tayamum and then we pray Isha. Sometime after Isha prayer we find water for wudu. The question is, do we have to ablution then pray again?”

As usual, before I answer the question above, I will quote a hadith that is specifically related to our discussion.

Hadith About Finding Water After Tayamum

The hadith about finding water after Tayamum that I mean is as follows;

From Abu Sa’id al-Khudri radliyallaahu ‘anhu, he said, “There are two who have traveled. The time to pray then comes, but they both don’t have water. The two of them then performed Tayamum using holy dust. The two of them then pray. Then they both found water at prayer time. One of the two people repeated the prayer and ablution, but the others did not do it. Then they both met with the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam then told him. He then said to the person who did not repeat his prayer, “We have done the advice and your prayer has been sufficient for you.” He said to the others, “You get two rewards.” The hadith is narrated by Abu Daud and an-Nasa’i.
