عَنْ أَبِيْ هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : كُلُّ كَلَامٍ لَا يُبْدَأُ فِيْهِ بِحَمْدِ اللهِ وَالصَّلَاةُ عَلَيَّ فَهُوَ أَقْطَعٌ وَأَبْتَرٌ مَمْحُوْقٌ مِنْ كُلِّ بَرَكَةٍ
From Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu, that the Prophet (Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, "All speech that does not start with saying "al-Hamdulillah" and praying to me (reading salawat), then it (the speech) will be interrupted, blocked, and perish from all blessings."
Praising Allah
The third ethic of dua for Zina forgiveness is praising Allah. As Muslims, we already know what it means to praise Allah. I'm not going to say much about it now.

قُلِ ادْعُوا اللَّهَ أَوِ ادْعُوا الرَّحْمَنَ أَيًّا مَا تَدْعُوا فَلَهُ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَى وَلَا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلَاتِكَ وَلَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا وَابْتَغِ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ سَبِيلًا
Say, "Call on "Allah" or call on "ar-Rahman". By what name do you call, He has "Asmaul Husna (the best names)" and do not raise your voice in your prayer and do not lower it (so it is not heard) and look for something in the middle of the two." (Al-Isra': 110).
Reading Tawasul
The fourth ethic of dua for Zina forgiveness is reading Tawasul. Tawasul is to use an intermediary. For example, you use an intermediary to get something. That's Tawasul.

So, We answered his prayer and We bestowed Yahya on him and We made his wife able to conceive. Indeed, they are the ones who hasten to do good and they pray to Us with hope and anxiety. And they are people who are devoted to us. (Al-Anbiya: 90).
Believe that Allah will surely answer the dua
The ninth ethic of dua for Zina forgiveness is to believe that Allah will surely answer the dua. People who pray to Allah must do that.

وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ ۖ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ ۖ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا لِي وَلْيُؤْمِنُوا بِي لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ
If My servants ask you about Me, verily I am very close. I answer the prayer of the person who prays if he prays to Me, then let them obey all My commandments and have faith in Me so that they are always in the truth. (Al-Baqarah: 186).
Not to eat haram food, not to drink haram drinks, and not to wear haram clothes

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنَّ اللهَ طَيِّبٌ لاَ يَقْبَلُ إِلاَّ طَيِّباً ، وَإِنَّ اللهَ أَمَرَ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ بِمَا أَمَرَ بِهِ المُرْسَلِيْنَ فَقَالَ ( يَا أَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوْا مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِحًا ) وَقَالَ تَعَالَى ( يَا أَيُّهَا الذِّيْنَ آمَنُوا كُلُوا مِنْ طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ ) ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الرَّجُلَ يُطِيْلُ السَّفَرَ أَشْعَثَ أَغْبَرَ يَمُدُّ يَدَيْهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ : يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ ، وَمَطْعَمُهُ حَرَامٌ ومشربه حرام وَمَلْبَسُهُ حَرَامٌ وَغُذِيَ بِالحَرَامِ فَأَنَّى يُسْتَجَابُ لَهُ . رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ
From Abu Hurairah radliyallahu anhu, he said, "The Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, "Verily Allah the Exalted is good (thayyib), He accepts nothing but good (thayyib). And verily Allah commands the believers as what was commanded by the Messengers. Allah the Exalted said, "O Messengers, eat from good food, and do good things." (Al-Mu'minun: 51). And Allah the Exalted said, “O you who believe! Eat of the good sustenance that We have given you." (Al-Baqarah: 172). Then Allah's Messenger (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam mentioned someone who had been traveling for a long time; His hair was disheveled, dusty, and he raised his hands to the sky, then said, "O my Lord, O my Lord." Even though his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothes are unlawful, and he is filled with unlawful food, how can his prayer be answered.?". This hadith was narrated by Muslim.
Praying at a time and place that is efficacious
The eleventh ethic of dua for Zina forgiveness is praying at a time and place that is efficacious (which is good for praying). Some of the efficacious times and places are as follows:
- Dua at the time between Adhan and Iqamah.
- Dua when prostrating in prayer.
- Dua before Salaam in prayer.
- Dua after the tahajjud prayer.
- Dua on Friday.

أَقْرَبُ مَا يَكُوْنُ العَبْدُ مِنْ رَبِّهِ وَهُوَ سَاجِدٌ فَأَكْثِرُوْا الدُّعَاءَ

The First Dua for Zina Forgiveness
أَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ
I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَانِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of Allah, the most merciful in the world and merciful in the world and the hereafter.
اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كُلُّهُ , وَلَكَ الشُّكْرُ كُلُّهُ
O my Lord, all praise is yours, and all gratitude is yours.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى حَبِيْبِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا هُوَ أَهْلٌ
O my Lord, grant mercy, salaam, and blessings to your beloved Muhammad, as he deserves it all.
اَللُّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّيْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِيْ وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ أَبُوْءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ , وَأَبُوُءْ بِذَنْبِيْ , فَاغْفِرْلِيْ , فَإِنَّهُ لَايَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
O Allah, You are my Lord. There is no god but You. You have created me. I am Your servant. I am always in Your promise and I promise You to the best of my ability. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge all the blessings You have bestowed upon me. I confess my sin. So, forgive me. Indeed, no one forgives all sins except You.
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ جِئْتُكَ بِبَابِ رَحْمَتِكَ وَمَغْفِرَتِكَ مُعْتَرِفًا بِذُنُوْبِيْ , فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ وَارْحَمْنِيْ . اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَتُوْبُ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ الزِّنَا , فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ وَارْحَمْنِيْ . فَإِنَّهُ لَايَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
O my Lord, indeed I have come at the door of Your mercy and at the door of Your forgiveness, confessing all my sins, so forgive me and have mercy on me. O my Lord, indeed I have repented to You from Zina, so forgive me and have mercy on me. Indeed, no one forgives all sins except You.
The Second Dua for Zina Forgiveness
أَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ
I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed devil.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَانِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of Allah, the most merciful in the world and merciful in the world and the hereafter.
اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الرَّحْمَةُ كُلُّهَا , وَلَكَ الْمَغْفِرَةُ كُلُّهَا
O my Lord, all mercy is yours, and all forgiveness is yours.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى خَيْرِ خَلْقِكَ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ , وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ أَجْمَعِيْنَ
O my Lord, grant mercy, salaam and blessings to Your best of creatures, our leader, Muhammad, and to all his family and all his companions.
رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا , رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا , رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ , وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا , أَنتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
O our Lord, do not punish us if we forget or if we have done something wrong. O our Lord, do not give us a heavy burden as You have given a heavy burden to the people before us. O our Lord, do not give us an obligation that we are unable to do. Forgive us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Helper against the disbelievers.
اَللَّهُمَّ أَدْعُوْكَ لِتَغْفِرَ كَبَائِرَ ذُنُوْبِيْ وَصَغَائِرَهَا . اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَتُوْبُ إِلَيْكَ رَبِّيْ مِنَ الزِّنَا . دَعَوْتُكَ رَبِّيْ كَمَا أَمَرْتَنِيْ , فَأَجِبْ دُعَائِيْ كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِيْ . إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيْعَادَ
O our Lord, I pray to You that You will forgive our major sins and our minor sins. O our Lord, indeed I repent to You from Zina. I have prayed to You, O my Lord, as You have commanded me (to pray to You), so answer my prayer as You have promised me. Verily, you will not break a promise.
