Cleaning Objects that Have Been Licked by Dog According to Islam ~ Hi all readers! In this article, I will discuss how to purify objects licked by dogs. This is important for a Muslim to know, because in Islamic teachings the object licked by a dog cannot be cleaned in the usual way, for example with water. There are certain ways.
For some people interaction with dogs is inevitable in everyday life. Maybe that happened because indeed the person concerned kept a dog or his job had something to do with that one animal. Or it could be due to an unintentional condition, for example when walking clothes, body, or whatever licked the dog. So how do you purify it in Islamic teachings?
There is one hadith of Prophet Muhammad that can be used to answer the above questions specifically. I will quote it for you.
Hadith About Cleaning Objects that Have Been Licked by Dog According to Islam
The hadith about cleaning objects that have been licked by dog according to Islam that I mean is below;
From Abu Hurairah radliyallahu anhu, he said, “The Messenger of Allah said, “The way to purify your container if licked by a dog is to wash (with) water up to seven times. First wash using dust. “The hadith is narrated by Muslim. In other editors who are also guided by Muslim priests there are additional editions of the hadith, “Let him dispose of the contents.” At-Tirmidhi has a history of the hadith whose editorial reads, “(Washing) the latter using dust.”
All readers! From the above hadith it can be concluded, that the way to purify the object affected by dog licks is to be washed up to seven times, which one of them is using dust. According to the history of Muslim priests, the spray that uses dust is the first spray, while the second spray to the seventh is using water. As for the history of at-Tirmidhi, the spray that uses dust is the last, seventh spray, while the spray that uses water is the first to the sixth bath.
You need to know, that the hadith above, besides explaining what I have said in the upper paragraph, also explains a number of things as follows;
One; The dog’s mouth is unclean. Unclean is unclean that is heavy (mughalladhah). Likewise, with other dog limbs. This is the opinion of the majority of Islamic law experts. While Malik said that the dog was holy. He made the obligation to wash objects licked by dogs up to seven times as a framework of worship.
