Quran Verses About Keeping Promises ~ In Islam, keeping one’s word is just as paramount. In fact, breaking one’s promise is considered to be one of the greater sins that a person can commit. The Qur’an denounces the breaking of promises in Chapter 61 verse 2-3:

“O you who believe! Why do you say that which you do not do? It is most hateful to God that you should say that which you do not do.”
