Category: Makmum
If you are the makmum (followers), you may include the word ‘Makmuman’ in your intentions before commencing your prayers.
Generally, a makmum is restricted from reciting in a loud voice following the imam, where he is supposed to actually just recite in a low voice that only he could hear it.
The exceptions are given if the imam is worried of a harm it would cause if he does not wait for the makmum, for example, an ignorant makmum would have thought that he gets the rakaat although he did not manage to perform the rukuk together with the imam. Thus, in this circumstance, it is permissible for the imam to wait for the makmum to join him during rukuk.
