Husband and Wife Bath Together in Islam

The first important thing about “can husband and wife bath together in Ramadan?” what I will explain now is husband and wife bath together in Islam. I want you to understand that first before you read any further explanations in this article because it is one of the important topics in this discussion that should be well understood.

Before I explain more about husband and wife bath together in Islam, I want to say that the important point in the discussion is "does Islam allow husband and wife to bath together?".

Before I explain it all, I want to quote a hadith that is specifically related to this discussion. The hadith I mean is as follows:

From Aisha radliyallahu anha, she said, "I once bathed with the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam in one container because of Janabah. Our hands are different in them." The hadith is narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim.

All readers! If we understand the hadith above, we can conclude that Islam allows husband and wife to bath together. Why? The answer is that the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had bathed with Aisha bint Abi Bakr, one of his wives.

That is a brief explanation of husband and wife bath together in Islam. As Muslims, we must understand that.

Romantic Relationship of Husband and Wife in Ramadan

The second important point about “can husband and wife bath together in Ramadan?” what I will explain now is the romantic relationship of husband and wife in Ramadan. I want you to understand that because it is one of the important topics related to this discussion.

In general, Islam strongly recommends that husband and wife have a romantic relationship. We can find this explanation in the following verses of the Quran and hadiths:

O you who have believed, it is not lawful for you to inherit women by compulsion. And do not make difficulties for them in order to take [back] part of what you gave them unless they commit a clear immorality. And live with them in kindness. For if you dislike them – perhaps you dislike a thing and Allah makes therein much good. (An-Nisa [4]; 19).

And you will never be able to be equal [in feeling] between wives, even if you should strive [to do so]. So do not incline completely [toward one] and leave another hanging. And if you amend [your affairs] and fear Allah - then indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful. (An-Nisa [4]; 129).

"The best of believers are those who are best in character. And the best of you are those who are chosen (morally) to women."

From Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu, from the Prophet (Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he said, "Whoever has two wives and he love one of them more, then he will come on the Day of Resurrection in a tilted state."

From Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu, Allah's Messenger (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, "A believing man should not hate a believing woman. If he hates a woman's behavior, then he certainly likes her other behavior in that woman."

All readers! If we understand some of the verses of the Quran and the hadith above, we can understand that Islam strongly recommends husband and wife to have a romantic relationship. Romance is very important in a husband and wife relationship. I think we understand that.

In Islam, husband and wife are allowed to do all things that can make their relationship romantic, except things that are forbidden in Islam. They both can do it all every day. One of the things the two of them could do was take a bath together.

Thus, we can conclude that Islam encourages husband and wife to have a romantic relationship in Ramadan. The romance of husband and wife in Ramadan has many advantages when compared to their romance in other months. The reason is because if Muslims do good deeds in Ramadan, they will get a lot of rewards.

That is a brief explanation of the romantic relationship of husband and wife in Ramadan. As Muslims, we must understand that.

Can Husband and Wife Bath Together in Ramadan?

The third important point about “can husband and wife bath together in Ramadan?” what I'm going to explain now is a specific answer. So, you should read the explanation below very well.

In the previous few paragraphs, I have explained that Islam strongly recommends husband and wife to have a romantic relationship. One of the things the two of them could do was take a bath together.

One of the important questions about it that some Muslims may not understand is “can husband and wife bath together in Ramadan?”.

I really understand if there are some Muslims do not understand that. During Ramadan they are required to fast and not do things that can break the fast. Maybe they are worried that taking a bath with their wife or husband in Ramadan could ruin their fast.

In general, I would like to say that husband and wife can bathe together in Ramadan. But what they should pay attention to is that it must not cause the fast of both of them to be broken. Some common things that might happen if they both do that in Ramadan are drinking water and if Mr. P touched Miss V (I think you guys already understand that). These two things are very likely to happen if they both take a bath together while they are both fasting in Ramadan. These two things can destroy fasting.

The conclusion is that it is permissible for a husband and wife to bath together during Ramadan, but it is better for both of them not to do that because there is a possibility that their fast will be broken.

That's a brief explanation of "can husband and wife bath together in Ramadan?" and some important things about it. Do you understand? If you want to ask, please ask!

I think that's enough for this article. Hope it is useful. Amen.

See you again in the next article!
