Hadith About Burying Two People in One Grave
The hadith about burying two people in one grave that I mean is as follows;
عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ ؛ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الرَّجُلَيْنِ مِنْ قَتْلَى أُحُدٍ فَيْ ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ ثُمَّ يَقُوْلُ ؛ أَيُّهُمْ أَكْثَرُ أَخْذًا لِلْقُرْآنِ . فَيُقَدِّمُهُ فِي اللَّحْدِ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ . رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ
From Jabir radliyallahu ‘anhu, he said,” The Prophet (Muhammad) sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam once put two of the victims of the Uhud war in one garment. Then he said, “Which of them has studied the Quran the most?” He then put that person first in the grave. He doesn’t pray for them.” The hadith is narrated by al-Bukhari.
There are some important things about the above hadith that we need to know;
One; The hadith explains that one can put two people who have died in one garment if it is in an emergency.
Two; The hadith explains that two people who have died may be buried in one grave if it is in an emergency.
