Bring Allah’s Name in Bathroom ~ Hi all readers! In this article, I will discuss the law carrying something that reads the name Allah Taala and the like to the bathroom in the view of Islam. As Muslims, we need to know about it, because it raises ethics as Muslims. What I mean by the word “like” is like prayer for the Prophet Muhammad, istighfar, prayer, and so on. The question is, is that okay?

As always, before I answer the question above and speak more about are we allowed to bring Allah’s name in bathroom, I will quote the hadith of Prophet Muhammad.

Hadith About Bring Allah’s Name in Bathroom

The hadith about bring Allah’s name in bathroom that I mean is as follows:

عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْخَلَاءَ وَضَعَ خَاتَمَهُ . أَخْرَجَهُ الْأَرْبَعَةُ

From Anas radliyallahu anhu, he said, “If the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam will enter the bathroom, then he puts down his ring.” The hadith is narrated by four people (Abu Daud, at-Tirmidzi, an-Nasa’i, and Ibn Majah).

All readers! If we observe the hadith above, we will understand a number of things as follows;

One; Prophet Muhammad wears a ring.

Two; In his ring the name Allah Taala is written.

Three; We must keep away something in which there is the name Allah Taala and the like from unclean places.

Four; When we want to defecate, we must find a safe place so that one cannot see us and hear the sound of something in it. We can use a quiet place or bathroom.
