Bathing After Sex in Islam and Its Virtues ~ Hi readers! In this article, I will explain one of the important things for adult Muslims. One important thing I mean is bathing after sex in Islam and its virtues. I say it is important because I see there are still many Muslims who do not have a complete understanding of it. There might even be some of them who understand it only on one side. As Muslims, we must understand that. So, you have to read it to the end.
Specifically, there are some important things about bathing after sex in Islam and its virtues which I will explain in this article. Some of the important things I mean are as follows:
Meaning of Bathing After Sex in Islam
The first important thing about bathing after sex in Islam and its virtue which I will explain in this article is the meaning of bathing after sex in Islam. I consider the explanation of it very important because there are some Muslims who do not have a proper understanding of it.
In general, we understand the phrase “bathing after sex in Islam” as the Janabah bath. In general, there are some Muslims who understand the Janabah bath as an obligatory bath that they must do after having sex with their wives. The goal is to remove the big hadas.
One important thing we must understand is that bathing after sex in Islam is not only done after a Muslim has had sex with his wife. This sentence has more than one meaning. We have to understand the word “sex” in order to have a complete understanding of it.
In general, sex is something that men and women do. Maybe they are husband and wife. Or maybe they are not husband and wife. So, specifically, we can understand that “bathing after sex in Islam” is a bath that is done after sex. There are several goals and advantages. I will explain that in the next discussion.
Two Kinds of Bath After Sex in Islam
The second important thing about bathing after sex in Islam and its virtue which I will explain in this article is the types of bathing after sex. I want you to understand that because there are differences in legal status (whether it is mandatory or recommended) and chronology.
If we read some Islamic legal literature about bathing after sex in Islam, then we will find an explanation that there are two types of bathing after sex in Islam: Janabah bathing and repentance bathing.
As for the explanation of the Janabah bath and repentance bath after sex in Islam are as follows:
Janabah Bath After Sex
The first type of bath after sex in Islam is the Janabah bath. Janabah bath is an obligatory bath that must be performed by Muslims after they have had sex or after they have released sperm. The law to do that is mandatory. In several previous articles, I have explained a lot about it.
One important thing about the Janabah bath after sex that I want to explain in this article is, that the Janabah bath should be performed by Muslims who have had sex with their wives or their husbands and Muslims who have committed Zina.
So, there are two chronologies of why Muslims must perform the Janabah bath:
One: after Muslims have sex with their wives or their husbands.
Two: after the Muslims commit Zina.
Repentance Bath After Sex
The second type of bath after sex in Islam is the bath of repentance. The bath of repentance is a bath that is done with the aim of removing sins. The law to do that is a suggestion. In particular, a Muslim who has committed Zina (or other sins) is strongly encouraged to take the bath of repentance.
I have explained that the legal status of doing a repentance bath is a recommendation. So, Muslims are not sinful if they don’t do that. This is very different from Janabah bath, whose legal status is an obligation.
