What Is the Dua When Someone Passes Away in Islam? ~ Hi all readers! In this article, I will explain one of the important things about something that is very beneficial for someone passes. One important thing I mean is Dua for someone passes away in Islam. As Muslims, we must understand that. That's why I wrote this article. So, you have to read it to the end.
Specifically, there are several important points about Dua when someone passes away in Islam which I will explain in this article. Some of the important things I mean are as follows:
The Meaning of Dua When Someone Passes Away in Islam
The first important thing about Dua when someone passes away in Islam that I will explain here is the meaning of Dua when someone passes away. I want you to understand that before you read any further explanation in this article.
In general, we can understand Dua when someone passes away as a prayer devoted to someone who has died. The purpose of the prayer is for Allah to have mercy on them, protect them, and not torture them. So, specifically, prayers for the dead are prayers that God will give them goodness in the grave. That is the difference between praying for the dead and the living.
Reasons Why Dua When Someone Passes Away Is Important
The second important point about Dua when someone passes away in Islam that I will explain here is the reason why Dua when someone passes away is important. I want you to understand that so you don't hesitate to pray for the dead.
Actually, if we read Islamic literatures about people who died, then we will find many explanations why Dua when someone passes away is important. But some of the most important reasons why it's important are as follows:
Because All the Merits of Someone Passes Away Are Cut Off
We can find an explanation of the reward for the actions of people who have died cut off in the hadith below:
From Abu Huraira radiyallahu anhu: that the Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, "If the son of Adam dies, then all the rewards of his deeds are cut off except for three things: shadaqah Jariyah, useful knowledge, or a good child who prays for him." The hadith was narrated by Muslim.
If someone passes away has sin, then he will be tortured in the grave
We can find many explanations about the torments in the graves for people who have sinned. I think you already understand that. You can also find this explanation in some of the hadiths below:
Indeed, if one of you dies, his place will be shown to him in the morning and evening. If he belongs to the inhabitants of Heaven, then he will become the inhabitants of Heaven. But if he belongs to the inhabitants of Hell, then he will become the inhabitants of Hell. Then it is said, "This is your place until Allah raises you up on the Day of Judgment."
If you didn't bury each other's bodies, I would surely ask Allah to listen to you about the torment of the graves.
