Secrets of Husband and Wife in Islam
Hi all readers! In this article, I will explain the prohibition of spreading secrets of husband and wife in Islam. Yup! Maybe there are some people who do that. In Islam, it is strictly prohibited. People who do that will get very painful torture on the Day of Judgment.
Before I talk more about the prohibition of spreading secrets of husband and wife, I will quote two hadiths that are specifically related to our discussion.
Hadith About Prohibition of Spreading Secrets of Husband and Wife
The two hadiths about prohibition of spreading secrets of husband and wife that I mean are as follows;
Abu Said al-Khudri radliyallahu 'anhu, he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said," Surely the person who gets the most terrible torture on the Day of Judgment is a man who associates with his wife and his wife associates with him, then he spread her secrets.” The hadith is narrated by Muslim.
Also, from him (Abu Said al-Khudri), "The real one of the most treacherous in the sight of Allah on the Day of Judgment is, the man who associates with his wife and his wife associates with him, then he spreads her secrets.”
All Readers! There are some important things related to the two hadiths above that I want to say;
- What is meant by associating (associates) in the two hadiths above is private activities that are usually carried out by married couples, such as kisses, foreplay, sex, and so forth. So, the point is all the activities related to it all.
- Textually, we can understand that the party that is prohibited in the two hadiths is the husband. But actually, the prohibition also applies to his wife. A simple conclusion like this; the husband is strictly forbidden to tell what he has done with his wife in the "room", as well as the wife; she is strictly prohibited from telling what she has done with her husband in the "room".
- The purpose of the prohibition is, that Islam wants to negate all things that can trigger the emergence of lust sex illegally. Of course, we can imagine what would happen if people who heard such stories were unmarried!
That is a brief explanation of the prohibition on spreading secrets of husband and wife. If you want to ask, please ask!
I think that's enough for this article. May be useful! Amen
