Hi all readers! Are you looking for an explanation of “how often should you shower in Islam?”? If your answer is “Yes”, congratulations! Now you are reading the right article. Why? Because that is what I will explain in this article. As Muslims, we must understand that. That's why I wrote this article. So, you have to read it to the end.
Specifically, there are three important points about “how often should you shower in Islam?” which I will explain in this article. The three important things I mean are as follows:
Showering in Islam: Mandatory or Not?
The first important thing about “how often should you shower in Islam?” what I will explain here is the status of showering in Islam: mandatory or not? I want you to understand that before you read any further explanation in this article. In addition, I also want you to understand the focus of this discussion.
Before I explain the status of showering in Islam, I want to explain that what is meant by showering in this discussion is an ordinary shower that is done to cleanse the body, not an obligatory shower in Islam: the Janabah bath. I want you to keep that in mind so you don't misunderstand the focus of this discussion.
Actually, if we read Islamic literacy about showering, then we will not find specific commands about showering. In Islam, the explanation of showering is related to the suggestions of good appearance. On the other hand, showering is one way that someone can look good in social interactions.
So, I can conclude that showering in Islam is not an obligation for Muslims.
Hadith About Showering
The second important point about “how often should you shower in Islam?” what I will explain here is the hadith about showering. I want you to understand that first so you can understand the argument of our discussion.
In the previous explanation I have said that the explanation of showering in Islam is related to the suggestions for good appearance. So, if we want to know the proof of shower, then we must look at the proposition of looking good. We can find that in the two hadiths below:
From Abu Said, he said, "The Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, "Verily Allah is a God who is beautiful and loves beauty. He is pleased to see the effect of His grace which He has given to His servant. He hates bad circumstances and pretends to be bad."
From Jabir, he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, "Verily Allah Taala is a God who is beautiful and loves beauty. He likes noble ethics and hates bad ethics."
Those are two hadiths about looking good in Islam that we must understand.
How Often Should You Shower in Islam?
The third important point about “how often should you shower in Islam?” what I will explain here is the answer to the question.
If we understand some of the explanations above, then we can conclude that there is no standard how often you should shower in Islam. There is no specific explanation about it. That's what I know so far. Why is that? The answer is because the standard is good looks. In other words, you can estimate how often you have to shower to look good. That's what you have to do. That's the answer.
All readers! That's a brief explanation of "how often should you shower in Islam?". Do you understand? If you want to ask, please ask!
I think that's enough for this article. May be useful. Amen.
See you again in the next article!
