Hi all readers! Are you looking for an explanation of ghusl dua for female after periods in English and Arabic? If your answer is “Yes”, congratulations! Now you are reading the right article. Why? Because that is what I will explain in this article. As Muslims, we must understand that. That's why I wrote this article. So, you should read it to the end!

Specifically, there are three important things about ghusl dua for female after periods in English and Arabic which I will explain in this article. Three important things that I mean are as follows;

What Kind of Ghusl Dua for Female After Periods in Islam?

The first important thing about ghusl dua for female after periods in English and Arabic what I will explain now is “what kind of ghusl after periods in Islam?”. I want you to understand that first before you read any further explanations in this article because that is one of the important questions in this discussion that should be well understood.

Maybe you are wondering: why do we need to understand the type of ghusl after periods in Islam? The answer is because there are two types of ghusl in Islam. That's why we have to understand it. That's what I'll explain in a few paragraphs below.

Types of Ghusl in Islam

In general, there are two types of ghusl in Islam: mandatory ghusl and non-mandatory ghusl.

Mandatory ghusl is ghusl that must be done by Muslims. If they do not do that, they are not allowed to perform some acts of worship that require them to be in a holy condition.

Non-mandatory ghusl is ghusl that can be done and may not be done by Muslims. But if they do that, it's better for them.

The explanation of mandatory ghusl and non-mandatory ghusl is as follows:

Mandatory Ghusl in Islam

What is meant by mandatory ghusl in Islam is taking a bath to remove major hadas (الحَدَثُ الْأَكْبَرُ) or bathing Muslims who have died. In Islamic legal literacy, the obligatory ghusl is ghusl Janabah (غُسْلُ الْجَنَابَةِ) and bathing the corpse (غُسْلُ الْمَيِّتِ). There are several things that require Muslims to do that:

  1. If their sperm comes out.
  2. If they have had sex.
  3. If a Muslim woman's periods have been completed.
  4. If a Muslim woman's puerperium has been completed.
  5. If a Muslim woman has given birth.
  6. If a Muslim die.

Those are some things that require Muslims to do ghusl or get ghusl.

In general, the first to the fifth points relate to the surviving Muslims. Specifically, the first and second points relate to Muslim men and Muslim women. While the third point to the fifth point only relates to Muslim women. The sixth point relates to Muslim men and Muslim women who have died. The point is that the Muslims who are still alive must bathe the Muslims who have died.

Non-Mandatory Ghusl in Islam

What is meant by non-mandatory in Islam is ghusl that is carried out without the intention of eliminating major hadas (الحَدَثُ الْأَكْبَرُ) or not relating to Muslims who have died. The ghusl is the usual ghusl that is done with the aim of cleansing the body. So, Muslims are not obliged to do that. In other words, if they do not do that, then they are not sinful.

Now, if you ask me, “what is the type of ghusl after periods in Islam?”, the answer is ghusl Janabah (غُسْلُ الْجَنَابَةِ). The goal is to remove the big hadas (الحَدَثُ الْأَكْبَرُ) after periods.

We can find an explanation that Muslim women are required to perform ghusl Janabah (غُسْلُ الْجَنَابَةِ) after periods in the hadith below:

قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِذَا أقْبَلَتِ الحَيْضَةُ، فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ، وإذَا أدْبَرَتْ، فَاغْسِلِي عَنْكِ الدَّمَ وصَلِّي

Allah's Messenger (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, "If periods has come, then do not pray. If it (periods) has gone, then clean the menstrual blood and pray."

That is a brief explanation of "what kind of ghusl after periods in Islam?". As Muslims, we must understand that.

Why Is Ghusl Dua for Female After Periods Important?

The second important thing about ghusl dua for female after periods in English and Arabic what I will explain now is “why is ghusl dua for female after periods important?”. I want you to understand that because it is one of the important questions in this discussion that must be well understood.

Niyyat is the intention or purpose of an action. Niyyat is something that distinguishes one thing from another. I think you already know about that. So, I will not explain much about it in this article.

In the previous few paragraphs, I have explained two types of ghusl in Islam. The first ghusl is mandatory ghusl, while the second ghusl is not mandatory.

So, if you ask me, "why is ghusl dua for female after periods in English and Arabic important?", the answer is to distinguish between the purpose of mandatory ghusl or ghusl Janabah (غُسْلُ الْجَنَابَةِ) and non-mandatory ghusl: that what is done is ghusl Janabah.

That's a brief explanation of "why is ghusl dua for female after periods in English and Arabic important?". As Muslims, we must understand that.

Ghusl Dua for Female After Periods in English and Arabic

The third important thing about ghusl dua for female after periods in English and Arabic which I will explain now is the specific explanation. So, I really hope you read the explanation below very well.

Specifically, the ghusl dua for female after periods in english and arabic is as follows:

نَوَيْتُ الْغُسْلَ لِرَفْعِ الْحَدَثِ الْأَكْبَرِ فَرْضاً لِلَّهِ تَعَالَى

I intend to do ghusl to eliminate major hadas, as an obligation, because of Allah Taala.

That's a brief explanation of ghusl dua for female after periods in English and Arabic and some important things about it. Do you understand? If you want to ask, please ask!

I think that's enough for this article. May be useful. Amen.

See you again in the next article!

Wow, I can't even begin to describe how grateful I am for this article! As someone who recently embraced Islam, I've been searching for a clear, simple, and comprehensive explanation of ghusl dua for women after periods in both English and Arabic. This has been a topic I've struggled to fully understand, and finding this article feels like such a blessing. Honestly, thank you so much for writing this!

What I love most about this article is how everything is broken down into simple steps and concepts. The explanation about the two types of ghusl in Islam – mandatory and non-mandatory – was so helpful. I didn't even know there were different types before reading this. The way you explained ghusl Janabah and its importance for women after their periods has really deepened my understanding of this essential practice. I feel so much more confident now about performing ghusl correctly.

The inclusion of the Arabic text for the niyyah (intention) and its English translation is especially useful. I've been learning Arabic, but having the English alongside it makes it so much easier to memorize and understand. The hadith you shared about the importance of performing ghusl after periods was another highlight for me. It's reassuring to see how Islam provides clear guidance on these matters, ensuring we maintain both physical and spiritual purity.

Another thing I really appreciate is the way you emphasized why ghusl dua is important. Understanding the role of intention (niyyah) in differentiating between mandatory and non-mandatory ghusl has cleared up so much confusion for me. Your explanation of the purpose and meaning of niyyah makes it clear why this step cannot be skipped.

I also love the friendly tone of the article – it feels like you're speaking directly to readers, which makes the content more engaging. This kind of explanation is exactly what new Muslims like me need. Thank you for making this topic so accessible and easy to understand. May Allah reward you for your efforts in helping others learn about Islam. I'm genuinely looking forward to reading more of your articles. This one has been a game-changer for me!
