Specifically, there are two important things about "can husband drink breast milk of wife in Islam?" which I will explain in this article. Two important things I mean are as follows:
Is Breast Milk of Wife Halal?
The first important thing about “can husband drink breast milk of wife in Islam?” what I will explain now is "is breast milk of wife halal?" I want you to understand that first before you read more explanations in this article because that is the basic thing in this discussion that must be well understood.
There is one important thing that you must understand is that the discussion about "is breast milk of wife halal?" is the same as the discussion about "is breast milk of women halal?". The reason is because the core of the discussion is breast milk of women. Thus, then we must understand it first.
If we read some Islamic literacy, especially the Quran, then we will find an explanation that breast milk of women is halal. We can find this explanation in the Quran below:
Mothers may breastfeed their children two complete years for whoever wishes to complete the nursing [period]. Upon the father is the mothers' provision and their clothing according to what is acceptable. No person is charged with more than his capacity. No mother should be harmed through her child, and no father through his child. And upon the [father's] heir is [a duty] like that [of the father]. And if they both desire weaning through mutual consent from both of them and consultation, there is no blame upon either of them. And if you wish to have your children nursed by a substitute, there is no blame upon you as long as you give payment according to what is acceptable. And fear Allah and know that Allah is Seeing of what you do. (Al-Baqarah [2]; 233.).
In general, the Quranic verse above explains that the best time to breastfeed a baby is two years. If we understand the verse of the Quran, we can conclude that a woman's milk or the wife's milk is halal.
So, specifically, I want to say that breast milk of wife is halal.
That's a brief explanation of "is breast milk of wife halal?". As Muslims, we must understand that.
Can Husband Drink Breast Milk of Wife in Islam?
The second important point about “can husband drink breast milk of wife in Islam?” what I'm going to explain now is a specific answer. I want you to understand that because it is an important question in this discussion which is not well understood by some Muslims.
One important thing about breastfeeding your husband in Islam that you must understand is that it is permissible or permissible. What it means is that it can be done and it can not be done. Some Muslim couples like to do that because they believe it can add to the harmony in the marriage.
But "can husband drink breast milk of wife in Islam?". In other words, does Islam allow a husband to drink the milk of his pregnant wife?
There are two important things we must understand if we want to know the answer to this question:
- Islam allows a wife to breastfeed her husband. What it means is that Islam does not prohibit a wife from breastfeeding her husband and does not encourage a wife to breastfeed her husband.
- Breast milk of wife is something that is lawful as I explained earlier.
So, if you ask me: "can husband drink breast milk of wife in Islam?", specifically, I say that a husband can drink his breast milk of wife.
Maybe now you are wondering, "Will the husband become a mahram for his wife if he has drunk her breast milk?".
Specifically, we can find an explanation that "breastfeeding a husband will not cause him to become a mahram for his wife" in the hadith below:
From Umm Salamah radliyallahu anha, she said, "The Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammmad) sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said, "Breastfeeding will not make a person a Mahram unless milk has entered the intestine and it is done before weaning."
So, the husband will not be a mahram for his wife even though he has drunk her breast milk.
That is a brief explanation of "can husband drink breast milk of wife in Islam?" and some important things about it. Do you understand? If you want to ask, please ask!
I think that's enough for this article. Hope it is useful. Amen.
